What is Tesamorelin?

Tesamorelin is a stabilised GHRH (growth-hormone-releasing hormone) analogue, supplied for research as a pre-filled multi-dose pen. Unlike the weekly incretins, it is dosed daily.

It is studied for its effect on the growth-hormone axis and on visceral (deep abdominal) fat in metabolic research. Research outcomes vary with dose and duration.

Reported side effects

  • Injection-site redness or itching — the most commonly reported effect.
  • Fluid retention and joint or muscle aches (GH-axis related) at higher doses.
  • Changes in glucose handling reported in the research literature.

How to dose Tesamorelin

Dosed once daily in the evening — start at 0.25 mg and titrate up to a 2 mg/day maximum, run as an 8–12 week cycle with 4 weeks off. The multi-dose pen sets each dose precisely; no mixing.
